Project Notes

direction.

Bucket of Beats Vol. 2 - Neighborhood Tapes is the second volume in the Bucket of Beats series, built from older instrumental joints pulled from the vault.

The release carries a raw, soulful neighborhood feel shaped by vinyl digs, chopped samples, dusty drums, and late-night sessions from the same broader era as earlier JayRa beat work, with some of the foundation tracing back to the JayTheRumor years.

Most of the production was built with analog equipment including the MPC2000XL, SP-12 Turbo, Akai S950, and EPS-16+, then recorded into a Tascam 4-track cassette deck as part of the ongoing Bucket of Beats archive format.
